About

Want to work on a station with beef cattle but have no previous knowledge or recently started and want to learn more? This course will run you through identification, handling, animal husbandry, safety, reading cattle, equipment and more! Topics include reading cattle pads, identifying things like steers, clean skins, heifers, dry cows, learning to read tags, handling cattle safely by using flight zones and points of balance, stock flow, reading cattle body language, how to draft using a pound and crush, how to work a coach mob and much much more. When completed we will award you with a letter and certificate to send to potential employers to help you obtain a job with basic knowledge. We will also supply you with a "Definition List" with common words and a description to help you understand commonly used station words. We are hoping this course will set you up for a Cattle Job, give you confidence and help you feel more set up for the job. This course is NOT industry recognized or accredited, it has been made by station workers for station work. This means our course is affordable.
